Upstream is delighted to be working with Imperial College London’s Chemistry department and Enterprise Division to host the launch of the Deep Tech Network on Thursday 9 May (RSVP here). Our objective is to encourage interaction and collaboration between business and Imperial’s researchers and develop a deep-tech innovation ecosystem around Imperial’s White City campus.
The Deep Tech Network events will represent an exciting opportunity to convene businesses, academics and entrepreneurs using science, technology and engineering to combat global challenges. Across the series, speakers will come from a range of sectors including biotech, pharma, medtech, energy, cleantech and greentech materials and industrial biotech, consumer goods, food and agri-tech, fintech, telecommunications and defence.
For our launch, we’ve lined up speakers from a number of ground-breaking businesses including Martin Agnew (Airbus); Alex Bond (Fresh Check); Niall Dunne (Polymateria), Anna Perdrix Rosell (Sixfold Bioscience); Avi Spier (Novartis) and Check Warner (Seraphim Capital). We will also hear from Emmanuel Ayoola (Generating Genius); Andrew Cohen (BBC Science Unit) and Cllr. Steve Cowan (Leader, Hammersmith & Fulham Council) about the work they are doing to communicate or support deep tech.
Sign up here to join us for an afternoon of jaw-dropping talks, followed by drinks.
